As an IT /MIS Intern, you'll be given the opportunity to assist our Information Technology department with creating and maintaining systems and processes that improve quality, productivity, and the company's bottom line. You will be learning new technologies that put our company years ahead of the competition, such as:
Voice over IP
Rapid Application Development
System Management
Enterprise Architecture
Security Access Control Systems
Content Management System
Our IT budget is forward of $10,000 a month. This accommodates our ever expanding office and broker needs. Joining our team provides you with the opportunities to affect over 60 employees on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will include installing, troubleshooting, repairing hardware, software, and peripherals and working with end-users. The scope of your responsibilities may also exceed that of a desktop support technician to incorporate networking and some programming, web design and development skills.
Job Status
Part-time, 15 - 20 hours per week
Compensation
Unpaid, for college credit
Responsibilities
Installation and Maintenance of Hardware/Software
Provide end-user support troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues
Training new employees on using company’s systems (e-mail, file storage, database, etc.)
Regular updates and minor revisions to the infrastructure and content of the company website
Assistance in maintaining/improving network performance and security
