City Realty Group is looking for a Mortgages Payable Specialist to join the accounting team full-time. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle and record payments for all mortgage loans in our real estate portfolio

  • Maintain our mortgage loans spreadsheet to reflect all our loans and their respective monthly payments

  • Monitor interest reserve accounts and mortgage payment accounts balance to ensure proper funding is available

  • Work with Chief Financial Officer to fund different loan payment accounts as needed

  •  Process and record all real estate tax payments

  • Review tax escrow accounts and prepare quarterly journal entries for taxes disbursements

  • Maintain spreadsheets for all our construction projects draw funds and handles disbursements

  • Coordinate construction draws request weekly with internal projects team and submit to the banks

  • Liaise with bank for mortgage payments, construction draws, loans, bank statements and account closeouts

  • Compile all bank statements to save on our server and upload to google drive for our external accounting team.

  • Responsible to book and balance receivables/payables from our main management company into several real estate entities

  • Ad Hoc accounting and finance projects as they arise

  • Skills & Qualifications:

  • One year of practical experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably with focus on A/P is preferred

  • Proficient knowledge in Excel

  • Experience with Quickbooks and Appfolio property management software is preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills

  • Ability to multitask

  • Full Time Position

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance is preferred

  • Salary $45K-$60K depending on experience

City Realty Group now offers License and Continuing Education courses in our Brookline location. In two weeks you can be prepared to take the Massachusetts Real Estate Exam.

We offer the most flexible license school schedule in the Boston Metro area. Our courses are professionally produced videos of live courses, which are full-credit classes for the Massachusetts state exam.

Students must purchase and study the following 2 textbooks (not included with course fee):

  • Modern Real Estate Practiceby Galaty, Allaway & Kyle, the 17th or 18th Edition (ISBN#1419521985)

  • Massachusetts Real Estate: Practice & Lawby Anita Hill, the 7th or 8th edition (ISBN#1419596837)

Classes are held at our Brookline location (320 Washington St, Ste. 3FF) Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


  • The cost for the 40-hour broker course (20 two-hour classes) is $450. 

  • The cost for the 40-hour salesperson course (20 two-hour classes) is $199. 

  • The cost for the 12-hour continuing education program (6 two-hour classes) is $150.
